Excuse me ...

... "do you mind if I take your photo?" These images have been taken when I've been out and about and someone has either caught my eye or they have been intrigued by the camera I'm using. Asking to take their photo is a great ice breaker, I'm happy to chat with anyone, and more often than not they are happy to be photographed!
